Pickleball and Costa Rica.

December 9 -16, 2025

What could be better? Lush tropical landscape with exotic animals, and pickleball.

Pickleball clinics will be on day 2 thru the last day when we will finish off with a tournament. Beautifully designed medals will be handed out to the winners.
All players will receive a free Costa Rica T-Shirt.

Day 1 – Arrive

You will arrive to San Jose. Transfer to the Barcelo San Jose Hotel located a short 20 minutes away.  Check in for overnight. Meet and greet your pickleball coach, Terry Ryan, in the lobby.

Day 2

Enjoy your first breakfast in this tropical paradise.  Your buffet breakfast features local specialties like Gallo Pinto plus a huge array of international favorites.

Check out and board your comfortable coach  for our departure from the Central Valley to our base for  the week ahead.

Sit back and relax as we head towards San Carlos.

As we ascend towards the mountains Volcano we will notice the change in temperature and vegetation, palm trees are replaced by pine and cool air overcomes the lowland heat.

We will continue to Doka coffee estates for a farm to table lunch and tour. We will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape that paves the way to our next stop, The Doka Estates Coffee Plantation.

Upon arrival at Doka Coffee Estate enjoy a delicious meal followed by a coffee tour, in the actual coffee plantation. Here, we will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica. Learn about the careful process involved on the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the Golden Bean.

Late afternoon arrival at Hotel Tilajari.   Here the landscape and wildlife combine in an enchanting natural sanctuary. Skirting the banks of the San Carlos River, Tilajari is an escape to the still, tranquil beauty of Costa Rica´s northern lowlands.

Translating to “pure life” in Spanish, “pura vida” is more than just a saying. It’s a lifestyle of sorts. One that’s all about enjoying life’s little pleasures, slowing things down and living life to the fullest.

  • “Pura vida” is widely used in Costa Rica to express a range of sentiments, including “hello,” “goodbye,” “I’m doing well,” “no worries,” and even to acknowledge difficult situations with a sense of acceptance.

How much does the trip cost?
